The craftsmen make their cinema show at the cultural Inheritance exposition. The eighth edition of the cultural Inheritance exposition has jut closed and the organisators are announcing once again a success. Located within the prestigious framework of the Carousel du Louvre in Paris, thousands of visitors could discover the knowledge inherited from the last centuries, and new technologies, of the craftsmen. A new look on the craftsmen of the world and in particular that of the cinema… Gilders, marquetry workers, cabinetmakers, decorators, picture framers, tapestry makers…. More than 200 art craftsmen conquered the public at this eighth edition placed under the sign of the industrial inheritance. Once again, the craftsmen could show their ability. The talent of the craftsmen left the shade of the workshops to be put under the fire of the projectors. These artists, for the time of the exposition put their trade and their technicality in the eyes of the public, like this remarkable craftsman decorator, Lucien Helle. Artisanal work in movies Lucien Helle is a modest person. His company goes from success to success so he has little time to devote to its promotion… Too bad. This talented craftsman entirely designed and produced the glass sign of "Mr Batignolles" store fronts in the film of the same name directed by Gerard Jugnot. This man in his fiftieth years, unknown to general public, gave the character of this old shop, decorated in black and gold. Lucien Helle completed this sumptuous work within a time record. "I almost worked night and day during nearly three weeks to carry out the decorated panels and the golden leaf texts! " Lucien remembers how thrill he was about it. In business since 1975, Lucien learned seven different skills and it took him more than thirty years of professional work to arrive at this technical virtuosity, combining precision, tradition, modernity, esthetism and quality. Invited by the Ile de France regional chamber of commerce, Lucien Helle never stop to tied strong contacts and he sure arouse the curiosity of the visitors.
